Equine Affaire Selects Official Image for 2007

The staff and management of Equine Affaire, Inc. are pleased to announce the selection of Paul Van Ginkel's "Coming to Shore" as the official image for the 2007 Equine Affaire events.

Equine Affaire produces events catering to horse owners and enthusiasts of all ages, all breed persuasions, all levels of expertise, and all equine disciplines. These annual four-day expositions offer unparalleled educational opportunities from coast to coast with locations in Columbus, OH; W. Springfield, MA; and Pomona, CA. Each year event producers seek an equine image that will appeal to the variety of horse enthusiasts attracted to the events from English and western disciplines, driving, and pleasure riding.

Artist Paul Van Ginkel’s painting features six horses boldly painted onto an indigo waterscape which spans the image from corner to corner. The artwork will be featured on promotional materials for each 2007 exposition, including: advertisements, the cover of the official event program, apparel such as T-shirts and sweatshirts sold at the shows, and a limited edition print.

Eugenia Snyder, President of Equine Affaire, said “I first encountered Paul Van Ginkel’s work at a gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. I was immediately struck by the dramatic quality of his paintings—from his use of color and light to his use of form. We are delighted to be able to work with Mr. Van Ginkel and feature “Coming to Shore” as the official image of Equine Affaire throughout 2007. It is a truly stunning image.”
