Special Clinic Opportunities Afforded by the 2009 Equine Affaire COLUMBUS, OH -– April 2–5, 2009—Equine Affaire will return to the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH, April 2nd through the 5th and attract horse enthusiasts of all ages, all breed and sport persuasions, and all levels of expertise from throughout the Midwest and beyond. Over the four days of the event, Equine Affaire’s legendary educational program will include more than 200 different clinics, seminars, and demonstrations on a broad range of equine disciplines and horse-related topics conducted by many of the nation’s most-respected coaches, competitors, horse trainers, and equine management experts. While clinics presented at Equine Affaire will be catered to attendees who will be watching from the stands, the vast array of sessions will also be unique opportunities for selected horses and riders to take instruction from many of the foremost equestrians in the nation. Among the many outstanding clinicians who will be accepting horses and/or riders to participate in their sessions at Equine Affaire will be general trainers including Monty Roberts (Join Up®), Craig Cameron (General Training & Horsemanship), Mark Rashid (General Horsemanship & Training), Julie Goodnight (Straightforward Horsemanship), Steffen Peters & George Williams (Dressage), Tommy Garland (Western Horsemanship), Yonnick Firehorse (Become One Spirit Horsemanship), Barbra Schulte (Cutting), Nicole Carswell (Easy Gaited Horses), Angela Moore (Introduction to Jumping), Mary Midkiff (Women & Horses), and Jennifer Mosier (Showmanship). Clinicians are also being confirmed for other disciplines including jumping, driving, and reining and will be posted at www.equineaffaire.com as soon as they are confirmed. Equine Affaire’s Ride With The Best program offers rare opportunities for both horses and riders to interact with top trainers and coaches for modest clinic fees ranging from $55 to $125 per clinic. These fees include clinic participation, event admission, and stabling. While some clinicians are seeking riders and horses with specific skills or “problems,” others are seeking any riders interested in improving their relationships with their horses. Clinicians will select the participants for their sessions from written applications and videos submitted to Equine Affaire. Details and an application are available at www.equineaffaire.com. Interested riders may also request a Ride With The Best information packet by contacting Nicole Taylor at (740) 845-0085 ext. 123 or ntaylor@equineaffaire.com. The application deadline is February 9, 2009. Don’t miss this chance to Ride With The Best at Equine Affaire. ###
