Equine Affaire Again Offers a Chance to Ride With The Best

Pomona, CA, January 31–February 3, 2008 — Equine Affaire will return to Fairplex in Pomona, CA, January 31st through February 3rd and attract horse enthusiasts of all ages, all breed and sport persuasions, and all levels of expertise from throughout the Southwest. Over the four days of the event, Equine Affaire’s legendary educational program will include more than 125 different clinics, seminars, and demonstrations on a broad range of equine disciplines and horse-related topics conducted by many of the nation’s foremost coaches, competitors, horse trainers, and equine management experts.  

While clinics presented at Equine Affaire will be catered to attendees who will be watching from the stands, there will also be unique opportunities for selected horses and riders to participate in many of the clinics.  Among the many outstanding clinicians who will be accepting horses and/or riders at Equine Affaire will be Monty Roberts (Join-up®), Richard Shrake (Resistance Free® Riding & Training), Linda Allen (Hunters & Jumpers), Stacy Westfall (Reining, Bridleless Riding & Horsemanship), Linda Tellington-Jones (TTouch®), Lynn McKenzie (Barrel Racing & Pole Bending), Nicole Carswell (Easy-Gaited Horses), Judy Wardrope (Functional Conformation), and Dan Weltner & Kristi Weltner-Redd (Rider Fitness).

Equine Affaire’s Ride With The Best program offers rare opportunities for both horses and riders to interact with top trainers and coaches for modest clinic fees ranging from $50 for a single clinic to $175 for a two-part clinic. These fees include clinic participation, event admission, and stabling.  While some clinicians are seeking riders and horses with specific skills or problems, others are seeking any riders interested in improving their relationships with their horses. Clinicians will select the participants for their sessions from written applications and videos submitted to Equine Affaire. Details and an application are available at www.equineaffaire.com.
