Equine Affaire, America’s Leading Horse Exposition,Returns to Fairplex January 31-February 3, 2008



POMONA, CA, January 31-February 3, 2008 – Equine Affaire, the premiere horse exposition in North America, returns to Fairplex for the eighth time January 31-February 3, 2008. The event’s legendary educational program will include more than 150 different clinics, seminars, and demonstrations by highly renowned national and international trainers, competitors, and coaches including; Monty Roberts (Join-up®), Craig Cameron (General Training & Horsemanship), Mark Rashid (General Training) Richard Shrake (Resistance Free® Riding & Training), Linda Allen (Hunters & Jumpers), Stacy Westfall (Reining, Bridleless Riding & Horsemanship), Charlotte Bredahl-Baker (Dressage), Linda Tellington-Jones (TTouch®), Lynn McKenzie (Barrel Racing & Pole Bending), Allen Pogue (Enhanced Foal Training, Liberty & Trick Training), Dana Hokana (Western Pleasure), Victor Penner & California Desperados (Mounted Shooting), Nicole Carswell (Easy-Gaited Horses), Kathie Dunn (Sidesaddle), Judy Wardrope (Functional Conformation), Dan Weltner & Kristi Weltner-Redd (Rider Fitness), and Rod Bergen (Trail Riding, Equine Stress Control).

More than 350 of the nation’s finest equine-related retailers and manufacturers will cover acres of both indoor and outdoor exhibit space, creating one the largest equine-related trade shows in the West. An extensive Breed Pavilion showcasing a wide variety of breeds from around the world and a fun and informative Youth Pavilion will also be featured at the event.


New this year, Craig Cameron will not only be presenting clinics at Equine Affaire, but will also be conducting his Extreme Cowboy Race® on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Extreme Cowboy Race®—as seen on RFD-TV—is a competition in which horses and riders work through an obstacle course while being timed and judged on their abilities. Interested riders must apply in advance to compete for $4,250 cash and other valuable prizes. Equine Affaire will take place Thursday–Saturday from 9:00am–7:00pm and Sunday from 9:00am–5:00pm.  The  Extreme Cowboy Race® will be featured in the covered arena from 7:30-9:30pm on Friday and Saturday.  On General admission for adults will be $15/day or $55/four-day pass; children 7–12: $10/day or $35/four-day pass with children under 6 admitted free.  Admission includes entry to the trade show and to all clinics, seminars, and demonstrations. Fairplex will charge for parking.
