Springfield, MA, November 8-10, 2007 — For the 10th year in a row the beauty and diversity of horses of many breeds and disciplines will be showcased through Equine Affaire’s signature evening event, the Pfizer Fantasia. This very special “musical celebration of the horse” has been an extraordinarily popular highlight of each Equine Affaire produced in New England since the inception of the event in 1998. The Pfizer Fantasia will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights during the 2007 Equine Affaire which will return November 8-11 to the Eastern States Exposition in W. Springfield, MA. In selecting the acts for this special 10-year anniversary event, the producers of the Pfizer Fantasia gave particular attention to including not only the types of performances that have proven to be the most popular over the past 10 years, but also representatives of the particular breeds and many of the outstanding riders who have participated in past events. Musical Grand Prix freestyle dressage and bridleless and bareback reining performances of the highest caliber will be presented by Pam Goodrich and Stacy Westfall respectively. This year’s show will also feature a spirited combined driving segment showcasing several of New England’s top drivers and horses, drill team presentations by the award-winning Cowgirl Express Drill Team and ever-popular Icelandic Performance Team, Roman and trick riding by Tracy Ross and Leann Pollock, a Friesian quadrille, and liberty and “East Meets West” performances by Pfizer Fantasia veterans, Yvonne and Kim Barteau. Jerry and Staci Diaz, two of the most popular riders to ever grace the Pfizer Fantasia stage, will return with a special tribute to Will Rogers and a beautiful duet ride to the Phantom of the Opera.
